Juarez, Mexico.

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

I’ve gotten a little behind on posting my Project52 pictures and updating my TenBooks(2) list because of my mission trip to Mexico, but I hope to have everything up to date soon.

I took over 750 pictures and almost 2 hours of video. I’m still sorting through the pictures, but I’ve got a 5 min video edited of the trip. I borrowed a laptop and stayed up late Thursday night after crossing the border and on the plane coming home to edit this video so that it could be shown in church this morning.

New PBF welcome video.

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

When I told Joe, my pastor, the idea of filming the new welcome video for the website in his truck while he is driving through town, he said “I hope I don’t wreck.” And when I showed up at the office to meet Joe to film the video, Debbie, the Ministry Assistant, thought that we were crazy and that everyone needed to stay off the road. I, however wasn’t worried about us wrecking. People talk and drive all the time. I was more worried that people watching it would get sick watching a video with a moving background and a handheld camera bouncing around.

I used two cameras. One on the dash and I held the other. We shot several takes. Each one was different. I took parts from two of the takes for this video. The shot of the houses was taken between takes. And the straight-on shots of the road were taken from my car on my way home. The music is from Derek Webb’s instrumental album “Feedback.”

Here’s the video with no wrecks and no one getting motion sickness (so far)…Here’s the video.

And join us for church on Sundays, 10:15 at Sunset Middle School!

Morning Lights

I took this video the other morning with my G9. It is of Old Hickory Boulevard on a dark, rainy morning. It started by accident but then I noticed that by making it out of focus, it looked really cool.
